Colin got quite a few pic spams for his birthday, but I was specifically taken with this one by wileret, because of the wonderfully subtle gifs she made, focusing on the little changes on Colin's face (as Jethro, Merlin or himself)

'Coffeeshop Muffins' by skellerbvvt (Arthur/Merlin, Arthur/Sophia, Gwen/Morgana, 14,000 words, modern day AU, R)
For intends and purposes Arthur and Merlin are dating, except that they're not having sex. They don't have a problem with each other's potential lovers, but those lovers have a problem with the BFF of their love-interest always tagging along and not getting any privacy ever. The best thing about this fic is the amazing amount of moments that show just how close these two are. I went from giggle fit to getting choked up and back again at warpspeed. I also love Gwen/Morgana in this and how we get the team feeling. Whether Arthur and Merlin end up together in a romance or a bromance is up to the reader; there are two endings.

'Braille, denim, and proof that angels exist' by hogwartinized (Bradley/Colin, 4,787 words, PG-13)
Bradley is all shaken and stirred after he stumbles across this picture. Colin is first confused about Bradley's reaction, which doesn't really get better when he figures out what's probably happening. There's awkwardness and Angel has to jump in to fix things and all's well that ends well. An adorable fic written from both Colin's as Bradley's POV.
'Happy happy birthday; from all of us to you' by deadfics (Bradley/Colin, 645 words, PG-13)
Some of you will remember how we hoped Colin was getting laid on his birthday? Well, that's what he's getting in this fic, plus domestic tlc and presents. Left me smiling fondly.

'Conspire to ignite' by rubynye (Chekov/Kirk/Sulu, 8,200 words, NC-17)
Threesomes can be tricky, but this one works. Pavel and Hikaru are in a committed relationship and when Hikaru asks Pavel what he'd like for his birthday he manages to get Pavel to confess to a hot fantasy he has. This involves Kirk being asked to join them, which he does with enthusiasm and confidence, cheeky and teasing, but also respectful. Pavel gets exactly what he wants and Hikaru, who is generous and who doesn't let the little pangs of envy get to him, gets more out of it than he expected.
'Crash course' by hollycomb (Chekov/Sulu, 5,000 words, NC-17)
Sequel to 'Here in your bedroom' (which I recced over here). In this fic Pavel is still young (17) but he and Hikaru have been secretly together for over a year now and Pavel takes great pains to convince Hikaru that he's now more than ready and willing to take the next step. I love Pavel's passion, his energy and enthusiasm, his lust and how open he is in his love for Hikaru, and Hikaru is so sweet, warm, tender and responsible.
