Last Friday I had the day off, which was a very relaxed start of the weekend I must say! Somewhere in the afternoon I headed for the airport so after the whole tram, train, plane, underground business
loreley_se could pick me up to get to her place. Not long after that
jhava arrived too and we had a lovely girl's night in with pink fizzy (some more than others...), one of
loreley_se's delicious meals and some Merlin. It got late, but we didn't have to be up early, so that was all right.
After breakfast and when
jhava had headed back home we went for a walk to Chiswick by way of a detour to walk alongside the Thames and then another detour for no apparent reason *cough* We had a nice lunch, walked in and out of bookstores and cd-shops and then had a walk back home to get back to that pink fizzy and wait for the new Merlin episode. Which we ended up watching twice because we were so enthusiastic.
It was quite a nice experience watching Merlin with a fellow fan so I could squee and uhm get overly excited here and there *shifty eyes* (hot damn Merlin doing magic does things to me!) After that we watched some of the season 1 dvd video diaries so we could grin through them. Ah, that was good!!
The next day we had the whole
London Expo experience and that was that for the weekend.
On Monday I spend the morning catching up with what the kids had been up to during the weekend and when they'd all headed off to school Mr. RC and I left for two days at a spa. Aaaaaaaaaaaah! That was lovely! Nothing but baths, and saunas and sitting in lounge chairs to read a book and talk a lot with each other without getting interrupted, fantastic food, a massage and that thing you do when you're with your lover and have a hotel-room at your disposal. I won't go into details but uhm, yeah, that was good too.
We got home all relaxed, had a meal with the kids, did some more catching up (boy, there's always a lot of talking going on at our place!) and went to bed early.
This morning Mr. RC woke up with a fever and an ear-ache. He went to the doctor who told him he's got an ear infection, gave him painkillers and ear-drops and orders to stay home and visit him again next Friday :(
So now instead of spending today with my hubby, he's in bed and I find myself with enough time on my hands to write feedback and the previous report and this entry. Not quite what we'd planned.
I think I'm going to eat something now, do some grocery shopping and then get back on-line to reply and such.
