Ok, I needed this.

I indulged in a therapeutic session with my crappy Windows Movie Maker, which in combination with my crappy movie making skillz resulted in this: not a fanvid, but a fan... uhm... compilation?

It's not complete, and I'm not claiming to be. It does have all the moments that I personally wanted/needed to be in there. Note that even the info contains spoilers, so don't click if you're not up to date with SGA and want to remain spoiler free.

Also, yep, it ends where it ends, because it broke my heart and I hated and loved the way John says that.

It starts with 'The Storm'. The bit where Koyla introduces himself to Sheppard; 'Kolya, that's a hard name to pronounce', and a lot of shouting his name over the storm in the walkie, working himself up with furious, frustrated anger, a soldier with a clear enemy.

Then we get 'The Eye', which starts with Sheppard shouting Kolya's name again, but with a little less vehemence, but then we cut to the scene where he aims for Kolya, warns that he will shoot, and we all know he will. He's sounds determined, ruthless and confident.

Follows 'The Brotherhood', where Sheppard gets a little 'shit, not him again', things get personal and Sheppard gets a chance to finish this once and for all, but killing in cold blood is not his style and he thinks this should score him enough points.

In 'Common Ground' Sheppard's reaction on seeing who has captured him is almost tired irritation. Yes, I included every torture scene. Since the fate of John Sheppard and Todd the wraith get so entwined here, I needed to include him quite prominently. Sheppard's 'Next time I'll kill you on sight, you hear me!' at Kolya is clearly from the heart, and Kolya realizes this.

It sucks that I had to include 'Irresponsible', but it's the one in which he kills Kolya, so I couldn't leave it out. Sheppard sounds too just 'huh, look at that, it's Kolya'. I blatantly skipped the part where John smugly lets everyone shoot at him while he has the shield on, and then gets all 'oh, whoops' when it's not working anymore. The shoot-out needs to be there even though it's even worse then I remembered. And then Kolya is dead.

And then there's 'Remnants', where John meets up with Kolya. Again. And his reaction is a bone-deep, 'I don't think I can do this anymore'. And that's where I wanted to stop, because there is no happy ending. The knowledge that it was all a hallucination doesn't make it any better, since the source is all in his head, and that's not a happy thought.
