Title: Do Sheppards Dream Of Electric Sheep?

Summary: “It will do no good,” Teyla said, disdain and frustration edging her voice closer to a low tone that tugged at Rodney’s stomach painfully. “As I understand it we have come to this too late. His sentence has already been passed.”
“It’s what?” Rodney asked blankly, even as John’s foot twitched slightly against his hand, as his head moved against the pillow in the uncomfortable shrugging motion that said nothing so loud as bad dream.
This is a friendship/team fic with an original premise. John is stranded in VR where he has to prove his humanity without even being aware that he is on trial. But the story is about so much more than that. It's about how his time on Atlantis, and with his team, has changed Rodney, made him aware of and care for others. It's also about the depth of friendship between John and Rodney that, even stripped of his humanity and reduced to little more than a weapon, John can reached by Rodney without him knowing how he's doing it!
