Clearly, Jack Reese is the Skynet of fathers

I was finishing up chapter 4 of my Life/Eureka crossover, when Jack Reese stopped and said he wanted me to type this:

Yes, I masterminded Charlie Crews' arrest and stay in prison. I was the one who ensured that he came across the book of zen when he did.

And do you want to know why I did all that? I did it to save my daughter.

I did the best I could with her, but she was still growing distant, hostile, diffident. I'm a good enough strategic planner that I could see just how far down she would end up -- and no father wants that for their kid.

So I did all that to Crews, and then, when he was released, I arranged it (behind the scenes, of course) so Dani would have to work with Crews.

This way, either Crews turns into a lesson, a demonstration of what to avoid...or I gain a son-in-law as well as a straight-laced and cleaned-up daughter.

This entire statement is a lie, or the whole thing is true. Decide.
