there's a sequel
here.
Pairing/Characters: Amita/Charlie, Amita, Charlie; mention of Amita’s family.
Prompt: Division (at Numb3rs100)
POV: Amita’s.
Rating: PG.
Inspired by:
The First, a masterwork of drabble-ing.
Summary: Life is never cut and dry…particularly not for a Ramanjuan.
Word Count: 133.
Spoilers: episode 4.05
Notes: Amita’s thoughts during part of episode 5 of series 4.
Apology: it steadfastly refuses to be an even 100 words…either 86 or 117 words; sorry. (and then when I gave up on it being a drabble…)

“…about me being Jewish,” Charlie asks me.
What? “No. Charlie, no.” My grandmother’s Jewish - not the one you met, my other one. I don’t see her much, but I know she uses the fylfot same as anyone else.
You should meet her, Charlie. Yes, That’s what I’ll do - while my dad’s talking with your dad, I’ll surprise you with my grandmother’s visit. It’ll be good for all of us, this family reunion.
You wouldn’t be the first Jew to marry into the Ramanjuan family, Charlie; just the first non-Indian; that’s the division, the dividing line. And that’s okay - that’s what we’ll cross, what we’ll bridge - and anyone who says otherwise, needs to take it up with me.
Because I want us to be together, marry, and spend the rest of our lives together.
