It was a great ep, spoiled by two things... 1) the number of times Oliver's loved ones (and trusted ones) said "we can't trust you". if there was a drinking game for this show, I'd be asleep for a week. 2) the kiss at the end of the episode. Helena may not have ended the kiss ASAP, but she sure as heck didn't look like she wanted to be kissed (at the start of it)
>As for the fiance, i don't think Helena put him in danger would it qualify as naivety(sp) or willful blindness? (assuming, that is, that it was Helena's idea to give the information to the Feds; if it was her fiance's idea, and Helena was simply happy to be able to provide him whatever answers he needed, then that would make her forging crucible a wake-up call as well)
>It didn't matter that the evidence may have traced back to Helena, the fiance was always going to be the one blamed in daddy's mind. probably. but then, shouldn't Helena have kept the laptop? worst case, she or her dad hold the position that it was planted (by Feds or by cops), and maybe dad's right-hand-man is the only one who is suspicious.
>The minute they said her name was Helena - I knew who she was I guess I'm so used to seeing The Huntress well into the later parts of her character arc, that my brain didn't connect the dots when it should have. (so early into her character)
> but my hubby argued with me up until I was proven right people shouldn't argue with you.
>Tahmoh Penikett of BSG that was - huh. he looks like he's grown a foot and a half since then, at least.
the number of times Oliver's loved ones (and trusted ones) said "we can't trust you". OMG you are so right. I wanted to slap them both but a drinking game is a better idea!
You make a valid point about the evidence. it was naive of her to think that information like that wouldn't be dangerous to her and those around her. So I will agree that she is somewhat to blame for her fiance which probably adds to the need to play vigilante.
