>this is going to a very messy love... whatever a love saltire. ;)
I like Sophie - she's very expressive facially. (though half the time when they're interupted, even if Sam and Sophie are on opposite ends of the room, I imagine the person walking in's thinking "am I interupting something?")
>Just because someone thought they needed a bit of "gone native" trope? Grrrr. actually, I have a feeling that, if anyone's gone or going native, it's Sophie (and this ep was a great way for her to impress Sam about the glories of the Island)...so the question is if Sam is going to want to leave the Island (or rather, if he's going to return after leaving with Marcus)
Tani, on the other hand, just wants to leave the Island. (I think - and pray I'm right about this - is that the shipping isn't the point of King and Tani...their point is that they are there to pick each other up from the depths (after Tani confronts her dad, after King stops his teammates from taking Gil's body, etc)
ps: that's a very nice penguin icon...poor chap, being prodded.

!!! I totally agree :D

That's a really interesting question, actually. I mean, they will have to resolve this whole mess at one point and in my head, there's no happy ending for Sam and Christine currently :( I keep thinking about the emotional repercussions and all the things they probably won't be able to talk about and maybe resentment and probably estrangement, too...

I could live with that. It would make sense. Like, more of a friends with benefits (or maybe potential allies with benefits) thing than a real ship.
I didn't know it was a saltire - didn't even know it was called that. (thought it was just "the X on a flag")
>I mean, they will have to resolve this whole mess at one point ...and the clock will start ticking once the military stand-off is resolved. as soon as it's even moderately safe to travel, it will get worse for Sam & Christine, the longer Sam hesitates to leave the Island.
(would he stop in to see Christine on the way to attending Marcus' trial? it not, would she count that against him, knowing the strength of his loyalty to Marcus?)
>I could live with that. It would make sense. > thing than a real ship. exactly. granted, King&Tani runs into the same issue Sam&Sophie do: even if we know they're not in a ship, and even if they know they're not in a ship...other people might think they're an item.

I absolutely agree. I almost think they're already doomed :(
