Grimm..."who told?"
I may not know much German, but I'm pretty sure that the German word for "conspiracy" does not mean "something you don't know because nobody bothered to tell you." (does any language have a word for that?)

my thought on this:
Now, why is this a conspiracy? Because Nick didn't know about it? Well, if that's the reason, then who could have told him?
* Monroe's a pretty reliable source thus far, with contacts out the wazoo at times.
* About now, I think Adalind's actually told Nick more about Wesen and Grimms than the Captain has.
* And dear Aunt Marie did her best, given the time limit she was operating under (though not even a cryptic "beware the Verrat"?)
* Rosalee's been a fountain of information, even more-so than Monroe.
