I rate The Amazing Spider-Man an 8.5/10
All the commercial previews and the early parts of this movie, led me to think that Peter had spider DNA in him since childhood or since birth.
I was initially surprised that Uncle Ben died silently in this film...but it makes a measure of sense: it's more affecting that there are no dying words.
And this is what happens when you rush a scientific project - it hunts you down and reclaims the vial. (sadly, it was rush hour, so there were lots of cars in the way)
Kinda curious why Dr. Connors never looked at the spiders for a regeneration. (when Peter was injured, I said "shed your skin, good as new")
One of the commercials had a spiderweb between two skyscrapers - like the first (MacGuire) Spiderman movie was supposed to have, til 9/11 happened - but if that scene was in this movie, I missed it. (i also missed Connors saying "ready to play god?")
I liked the use of Spiderman sitting in the middle of a spiderweb, though.
I think that's as close to romantic as "I'm going to throw you out a window" will ever achieve.
an enjoyable movie.
one detail between the initial closing credits (listing the stars), and the normal closing credits:
Dr. Connors gets a visitor while in custody, who asks Connors if he's informed Parker of what his parents were up to. and then the guy's gone.
I wonder who sent him...SHIELD? Madam Web? Osbourne?
sequel!
