So far, these are the clues:
* It is part of Latin/South America that was not covered by rainforest 5 million years ago. That suggests either volcanic uprisings, or one of the tectonic plates which were going eastwards when they got pinned & lifted between North and South America.
* It is within walking distance of at least one waterfall, and of the coastline.
* The Incans built a mine there.
If there are other clues, I missed them.
