Plot bunny crossover: Kate Shugak/Hawaii Five-O

.got bitten by a new kind of plot bunny:

Hawaii Five-O / the Kate Shugak book series.

one could, I suppose, find a reason to bring a Park employee down to Hawaii. (forced vacation?)

or, a scene -
Kate and Danno are walking down the sidewalk somewhere (likely undercover) and someone shouts at Danny "Hey haole!"
...and Kate turns around and (glares?), thinking the someone meant her.

any other ideas?

I don't know the Kate Shugak books well enough to do a crossover. but I know I'd read the results with great excitement and interest.
