I have a little James-Rush scene coming up in one of my fics. No relationship but there's a conversation. They do little with James, sadly.

I have this fear that, if they did more with James, she'd become at least as screwed-up as Scott.

conversations are always good. (though that's all I was aiming for in this fic)

its not her reading that has me worried. it's her other release of tension that's got me worried. (were the writers afraid that it wouldn't look good if Scott was the only one who slept around?) *snorts*

Writers generally seem confused when confronted with a woman character who isn't trying to have a romance or a baby.

so...James will have a baby (from the dalliance in the pilot ep), and Rush is the sanest possible father-figure for the kid.

dear god, I just imagined a baby using the communication stones.

I think Rush would be a good dad but hey, let's just not go there. The Rush-as-father-figure-to-Eli fics are bad enough.
