Give me the title of a story I've never written, and feedback telling me what you liked best about it, and I will tell you any of: the first sentence, the last sentence, the thing that made me want to write it, the biggest problem I had while writing it, why it almost never got posted, the scene that hit the cutting ( Read more... )

thank you - I'm particularly proud of Unfinished Business.

Characterization was tricky, I confess. when I started writing it, I was thinking "what sort of novel would Alexis Castle write?" I was almost finished writing before I realized wait, this isn't an adventure by Alexis - this is one of her adventures!

probably the biggest complaint I've ever gotten for that story - besides the refrain that Kate Beckett wasn't in it - was in regards to my nod to Nero Wolfe and Rex Stout.

again, thank you; its good to know my efforts are appreciated.

I really liked Eyes Front. Those two don't get enough screen time together.

Eyes Front was a joy to write. (mostly because it gave me an excuse to watch my favorite M*A*S*H episodes)

that and it let me bring back Lt. Gail Harris and Kyung Soon (both of whom left the series far too soon).

be honest, was it too cutesy to have the 4077 get a letter from the family we met in L.I.P.?

You know, I have to admit... I was a little hesitant when I let you borrow Callie for your alternate universe fic and you ended up pairing her with Don, but after reading - I'm so glad she was on loan. In my version of reality, she and Don make a great team as FBI partners... but in your alternate universe, where she and Don are partners in crime (literally) like a modern day Bonnie and Clyde - the combination is nearly explosive (as Charlie - the Special Agent in Charge and his team soon found out.) The combination of Don's knowledge of law enforcement procedural's and Callie's knowledge of chemistry, math and algorithms (is it just me or is it a complete turn on that you've made her one of the best computer hackers in the world?) was just out of this world. And then, the passion between them when the job is successful... guh. This was a complete 180 from the world I'm used to in Numb3rs and with Callie and damn, it was so much fun to read. Sequel? Yes, please. :)
