EDITED/FIXED
source: the latest Stargate magazine.
1) Ming-Na
2) Reiko Aylesworth
(you may remember her from 24 or from LOST)
3) to quote Mr Brad Wright: "That's the major difference between this show and the other Stargates. Universe is much more man against nature/man against man and the crises and conflicts are more internal and onboard the ship. It's human interaction and human conflict as opposed to alien. That's not to say we're not going to run into aliens, because we are. They're just not going to twirl their mustaches and all speak English."
(emphasis mine)
what worries me is also proof that Mr Wright is a Tok'ra:
in one breath, he says that, once they get aboard the ship, the Earthlings, because they're out of touch with Earth and the SGC (which is military organizations), the people will start to look at one another and say "why do you get to tell me what to do?" when the only difference is badges and such. (that idea would probably have been what we'd have seen if Atlantis hadn't regained communication with Earth at the end of s1)
...and in the next breath - and the same article! - he tells us that two members of the away mission on the ship have a way of communicating with the folks back on Earth. um, what? and why wouldn't they use that link - however tenuous it may be - to keep a semblance of order and normalacy among their little community?
