was watching the news, and I saw one of the signs being held by one of the large groups who go interupt town meetings:
Any Government Big Enough To Give People Everything They Want, Is Big Enough To Take Everything Away. -Thomas Jefferson.
Now, even setting aside the fact that Jefferson had no problem keeping segments of the population devoid of any possessions, in a democracy, what is the first thing that happens to any President who either can not or will not give the people as much as possible of everything they want?
pretty sure the answer is that that guy won't be President come next election - and his term won't be easy on him at all.
