just wondering...has anyone on my flist (or anyone else reading this) ever read The Mercury Thirteen? or any similar books?
it's amazing how close we came at various points in the Space Race.
if things had gone differently, maybe the first woman in orbit would have been Jeri Cobb, not Valentina Tereshkova.
