I'm sure we can employ some Denial in Rome! Nick is a bit of an idiot, isn't he? *hides* Kavanagh did save the jumper that day... :) Even if McKay would have thought of it a millisecond later :P
I finally saw the finale of s1 Rome...all this time, I was worried (thanks to hearing a spoiler that she'd die) that Vorenus or someone would kill her.
in the Behind The Scenes, Indira Varma says Niobe spent all of s1 wracked by guilt...so that explains her action (I suppose)
mind, right after watching the ep, I wrote a fix-it: Pullo catches her (he doesn't go to the roadside goddess)
I had no idea you didn't know how she died!! Wasn't it awful? What a senseless waste, but understandable in the context. Poor Niobe. And poor Vorenus. That's a great idea!! I love the image of Pullo catching her!! \0/ I accept your reality :)
and substitute it all (wait, that wasn't the line) ;)rodloxDecember 14 2009, 08:16:20 UTC
>I had no idea you didn't know how she died!! I loved the character and the actress too much to watch. (and then I made the mistake of watching the (mini)series where she's an Indo-Ugandan living in Britain)
your icon gives me an idea: Niobe falls off the ledge, through an anomaly - and Hugh finds her and nurses her back to health.
>Poor Niobe. And poor Vorenus *nods to both* and to poor Vorena and Vorena and - what was the name of the middle daughter? the eldest and youngest were Vorena.
and here's what I mentioned: Author’s Note: In the “When In Rome” special on the series 1 DVDs, Pullo’s actor says that Pullo believes he is wherever he is for a reason. That statement helped clarify the first part of this, which will hopefully help with the rest. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~On his return, the first words Pullo could make out with clarity were, “The boy is blameless,” words spoken by Niobe
( ... )
