#1, version 1
"So now I'm a grandmother, am I?" mum asked.

Martha couldn't in all honesty say Yes, and she couldn't in all honesty say No...so she handed the grinning wrapped-up little alien to her mother and smiled.

"Well, you're cute anyway, yes you are!"

"Doesn't look much like you," Tish said, but had the good grace to wait to say it after mum and dad were inside making faces and tickling the baby.

There's a good reason for that, Martha knew. But the real mother didn't mind that Martha had the baby; 'now that the Rani's revived,' the Doctor had said, 'she wants to wander a bit first.' "Tish," Martha said, "his da's an alien."

"Good point."

He'd started the day by saying they needed to visit the Looms, that it was a surprise present for her, something he figured she wanted, given her earlier actions and words.

When they got there, stepped outside the TARDIS and in front of - "Loom, Mark 4, I think. Maybe 7 by now."

"What exactly is a Loom, Doctor?"

"It's how Time Lords have kids with other Time Lords. And it's the only way for Time Lords to break the species barrier," the Doctor had explained it to her, "is to not break the barrier."

"That makes less sense than the timey-wimey," she replied.

"True, but there it is."

"There what is?" just before the Loom grabbed him, rolled him around in mid-air, and spat him back out.

"O k a y," the Doctor said, physically altogether, but looking a mite disorganized inside. Martha wondered what his mind was like about nows. "Now, how shall we do this? Traditionally, I think, yes? Hm?" hearkening back to his earlier incarnations. The tiniest fetus is in me now, and if Martha wants it, it'll go in her.

As to the sex... It was good, Martha decided. Though it was somewhat rather worrying that, instead of her body temperature skyrocketting, he pulled them into an enveloping cold. Alien she remembered just as they both - Yes

The birth had been blissfully painless. It helped that infant Time Lords had no bones, allowing them to squeeze through with greater ease. "She's adorable."

"He is, yep," the Doctor said.

"You sure? He doesn't have a -"

"Those don't show up until later."

"Great."

"Mind you, he does look a bit like Susan did at that age," the Doctor said.

"Who's Susan?"

"A, just my granddaughter. By an earlier Looming. Well, I say Looming, it was Looming and the Rani."

hahahaha. Oh, both of these are so brilliant. I love Martha taking the baby home to her parents, and I love the Doctor being confused and yet still such a parent.

*is delighted*
yeah, I had fun with the "Martha has the Doctor's baby" since English is fun like that - then I went with what you probably meant. :)

btw, I'd forgotten a fandom, so if you want to re-request, go right ahead.
