PUZZLE: Pinocchio Paradox

My Nose Will Grow

Rod Rodillon at 4:25am March 25

The nose is supposed to grow if he's lying. If that statement is true, then his nose can't grow.

However, if it doesn't grow, it then is indeed a lie and should grow.

It's been a while since I've seen the cartoon "Pinocchio." Doesn't the nose retract or shorten when he tells the Truth? If that's the case, wouldn't the nose just get long and then shorten up again continuously going back and forth depending on what "phase" he's in? If Pinocchio ever had a girlfriend, that could be an advantage being able to give her a satisfying nose job.'
