POWER OF INFLUENCE
This theory was briefly touched upon with Delaney Nacht regarding the Concept of the Roleplaying Game Feature of Saving Throws.
This pertains to Vampire Abilities such as the Power of Influence with the Vampire Gaze.
The Vampire Gaze cited here is more conceptual and not talking about what is happening in the Real World. It is to be perceived more as what would would happen in a Virtual Game Grid.
If one was to imagine the Psychic Realm or Astral Plane as a Game Grid like Second Life, World or WarCraft, or Ultima, the abilities of a Vampire Character on the Game Grid would have abilities such as a Vampiric Gaze.
In the world we live in today, people engage each other in Cyberspace and are not physically in contact with each other. However, their minds do touch or brush against each other.
For Skeptics who don't believe such cases are possible, this goes back to my Theory about the Mind like an Organic Laptop Computer with a Psychic Wireless Modem plugging into the Electromagnetic Field. The Mind has a distinctive Planetary IP Address. It would look like a Planetary Bar Code ID, Psychic MySpace ID Number, or Planetary Social Security Number.
Regardless of level of skepticsim, just pretend for argument's sake that this is how it works.
If a person has Vampire Abilities, they're engaging a Vampire Gaze that is able to use power of suggestion on the victim.
It is theorized that the victim with a weak will power will succumb to such influence and behave in a manner that would suggest Mind Control. In the Harry Potter Universe, some would refer to this as the "Imperious Curse."
On a side note, the author had gone to Subway Restaurant on 8/15/2008 at 12 pm PST/SLT and the food technician handling his order was extremely absentminded or forgetful while taking the author's order. While it's not tied to Imperious Curses or Vampiric Gazes, it's a reading being pulled from the environment about this discussion.
ROLEPLAYING VIDEO GAMES
In Roleplaying Video Games which the author is using as a model for understanding the Vampire Gaze, Vampires were in the game "Neverwinter Nights" and "Baldur's Gate II" by Atari.
The story arc talks about Vampires in the "Baldur's Gate II" so there are Vampires that would attack your group members using a Vampiric Gaze.
If the INTELLIGENCE SCORE on your Group Member on a character such as a Barbarian was extremely, they would become minions of the Vampires and your own group members would start attacking your group.
This is because the SAVING THROW of your Group Member is low. Low Intelligence will result in Mind Control of a Vampire on that Video Game.
Using that same concept, people who have weak wills or (literally) Low Intelligence will naturally succumb to the Mind of a person with a strong will.
If your Group Member in "Baldur's Gate II" had extremely High Intelligence, they would be COMPLETELY IMMUNE to the Vampiric Gaze or they would shake off the Vampiric Gaze in FEWER TURNS than a game character with lower Intelligence.
POWER OF CHARM VS. EXPERIENCE
This is where we get into the Power of Charm, which is a aspect of the Vampiric Gaze.
The Charm Spell in games such as "Baldur's Gate II" and "Neverwinter Nights" are low level spells. They work on primitives and animals.
If you were being attacked by animals such as 3 bears in the Video Game, you could use a Charm Spell on one of the bears to attack its own to tip the scales.
So if 3 bears are attacking your character and you can use a Charm Spell on one bear, it changes from 3:1 to 2:2 because you've now pulled one a former enemy over to your side.
In "Neverwinter Nights," there's focus on the Monk Character which has extremely high Wisdom. As the Monk moves up in Experience, they eventually become "so wise" that they develop a permanent immunity to any forms of Mind Control.
It's because of the Disciplined Mind. The Saving Throws are extremely high at the beginning and eventually Charm Spells have no effect at all anymore.
In the Video Game, the resistence of game characters in the group like in "Baldur's Gate" go up with each Level. As the characters Level Up, they start developing a higher Saving Throw with the Rolls of the Dice as to whether they would succumb to a Charm Spell or not.
That's why training up one's Video Game Character is advantageous because they become smarter and less likely to fall prey to Hostile Spells.
In fact, in the Game Version, Leveling Up would take the form of books or tomes that contain information. This Packet which includes information about Vampirism and the Psychic Field would increase the Intelligence and Wisdom Scores of a person reading it so that they'd have higher Saving Throws against real life Vampirism.
This is why Experience is really important.
Another game aspect is if there is a Bard or Member of the Group that increases the Luck or Saving Throws of the Members of the Group while engaged in combat.
An example would be if there was a Group and the author was the Spell Caster such as a Mage or Sorcerer that casts a temporary spell that the Group Members benefit from that increases their Saving Throws.
MIND'S OPERATING SYSTEM WITH THE STRONGER WILL
The Vampiric Gaze revolves around the Will of the Mind.
It seems like it's the stuff of Fiction and what you see in movies, but Power and Influence over the Mind can occur with a more Dominant Mind that will overpower the Weaker Mind.
Even if people don't have a strong background in Computer Programming or Computer Systems, understanding the basics of Computers and how the Mind functions like a Computer will help one see how Influence such as a Vampiric Gaze can work.
One of the analogies used by the author is about the Restaurant with a group of friends. The person who is the most picky as to what type of food they would like to eat will influence the group members who are of no opinion.
If a person is of no opinion and doesn't care where the group eats, they will defer to the stronger will. The person wants very specific food or refuses to eat certain types of cuisines whether it's because of personal taste or they're allergic to certain foods will determine where people will eat.
The concept of not having any opinion is a form of TACIT CONSENT.
It's when someone doesn't say anything or seems to be of no opinion that the declared statement or action goes unchallenged.
With a Vampiric Gaze or Power over the Mind, a person who doesn't have any Operating System or way of dealing with a Vampiric Gaze would succumb to Tacit Consent.
If the Mind is like a Computer and has nothing programmed to defend against something such as a Virus, it will result in Tacit Consent. It will become infect with a Virus or allow someone to bypass the System and be able to route around in the Directory Files of the Computer.
This would be unbeknownst to the Owner of the Computer who may not want a Hacker or person with access to the files or moving things around.
This is what it's like when a Vampiric Gaze is used on a victim.
If the Victim with a Weaker Will has nothing programmed, it will naturally allow the Vampire or person with Psychic Influence to move or shift the mind into doing things without the person knowing.
This is how an individual such as the Vampire Delaney Nacht can induce headaches. Because people with a Weaker Will do not have a Defensive Barrier up or have put a "Lockdown" on Memory Files in the Mind as a Computer, they will succumb to the Vampire Gaze of Delaney.
Delaney's Mind with the stronger will and the ability to overpower the typical Mind will route around in the Hard Drive of the victim and shift their "Timing Schedule of Events" so that the victim will have a headache occur during the time of contact.
This even applies to Real Life Contact. If someone shook hands with Delaney Nacht in real life and suddenly experienced a headache upon contact with the handshake, that is timing.
That would be Delaney's Vampire Abilities that are working on the Mind of the victim shaking hands with the person so that the course of events throughout the day will lead up to a timed headache.
LOCKING DOWN THE SYSTEM
The way to combat the Vampiric Gaze and not allow someone to root around in one's Hard Drive. This is where a sophisticated Software Program is helpful.
Visualization Techniques or Will Power of saying know can sometimes help, but an Operating Procedure that your Mind uses will work much better because it's a uniform change across the board as a Policy or Guideline for your brain cells to follow.
An inexperienced or Untrained Mind would be like a blank slate with little or nothing programmed. This would be like a Computer that doesn't have any Security Software used for tracking and blocking virus software that can infect the computer.
Virus Protection Software is designed to look for certain patterns or distinguishing traits of a Computer Virus that will attempt to insert itself into the System.
If you've got a Vampire that is entering one's System, a lockdown and removal of such programs requires instructions given to the Computer to be able to identify the anomaly and know how to neutralize or delete the program.
A Trained Mind would have Security Measures and Granted Permissions that are set up for only those allowed access but block access from individuals outside of the system who don't have a "Clearance Pass."
SCIENTIFIC OBJECTION TO THIS THEORY
Scientific Objection to this Theory would be that there's no way for an individual to pull off such as an effect as giving a headache.
They would claim that it's just coincidence.
Because I work in the Psychic Field and know this stuff works, I take a different mindset of asking how you could pull off such an effect.
Scientists and Skeptics who don't believe in this stuff push this out of their mind. By doing so, that's how they become vulnerable to Mind Control or Influence.
They wouldn't bother to protect themselves from a threat that they believe doesn't exist. So if they don't bother to shield themselves against something that is perceived as non-existent, they can be influenced.
Saying that someone doesn't have the ability to pull off such things is a Band-Aid Measure. It's temporary and it hinges on the belief that the person lacks the means.
However, if the person who does have Psychic or Vampiric Abilities establishes that they are able to pull off such feats, that will cause a Skeptic or Scientist's claim to dissolve and the beliefs and ideals that are propped up by that Theory serving as the foundation or basis.
STRENGTHENING VAMPIRE ABILITIES
The Scientific Explanation of how one can pull off having Psychic or Vampiric Abilities strengthens the Will Power of the Psychic and the Vampire whose abilities function on similar principles.
It strenghtens the resolve and Will Power of the Psychic or Vampire using that Mental Dominance over the individual.
The example is very much like the Death Star with the Shield Generator. The Death Star would be the Mind of the Skeptic. The Shield Generator would be the belief that there is no such thing as the Psychic Field or a way for Psychics or Vampires to enter the Mind.
However, once you destroy the Shield Generator, which is establishing that Psychic and Vampire Abilities can indeed exist and show how they can work, the Shield Generator will no longer be able to have an impenetrable Shield around that Death Star.
However, in the mean time while the Skeptic or Scientist is thoroughly convinced there is no such abilities, it does act as an Impenetrable Shield.
Vampires and Psychics become stronger when they can merge the Data and Proof on how one can pull off such a feat in a Scientific Medium using a Cyberspace Model to understand how Communication can occur between two Minds functioning like computers that link up.
When Psychics and Vampires know how it's possible to pull it off, it boosts the abilities and the Mind.
