I was complimenting Kevin on his Interview. He brought up a lot of really good points.

Subject: The Candy Bar Analogy

That was a really good interview that you posted. It's unfortunate about those people who talk badly about you even though they don't know anything about you.

I put up with the same sort of discrimination the minute I open my mouth and mention that I'm Psychic. They haven't met me or looked at my scientific research explaining how it works.

People just tend to jump to conclusions about others.

In your case, you've reached a form of Online Celebrity Status. The things you experience is what every Celbrity has to put up with.

As you said, you'll get people who will take it personally if you read someone else's Blog and skip theirs. However, you only have so much time on your hands.

One of the things about Popularity is learning how to manage people and their emotions.
  1. It's just like going to the store to buy Candy Bar
  2. Imagine if people were like Candy Bars
  3. The Ingredients of the Candy Bar would be the content of their Blogs
  4. The wrapper for the Candy Bar is their "total package" and how they come across
  5. Buying a Candy Bar would be like reading their Blog
Imagine if you go to buy a Hershey's Candy Bar and after you buy it, the Nestle Crunch, Skor, Three Muskateers, and Snickers Candy Bars start bad-mouthing you about how you buy Hershey's but you won't buy any of theirs.
  1. The Snickers Candy Bar would be posting a Blog about how you discriminate against Candy Bars with peanuts
  2. The Nestle Crunch Candy Bar would telling all its friends about how you discriminate against Rice Krispies
  3. Let's not forget all the Non-Candy Bar Confections that you've grossly offended like the Twizzlers Special Interest Group
You can't make everyone happy, you only have so much money and time to eat, and your stomach can only eat so much food before you're full.

People are Candy Bars... but with Mouths that can complain or front an attitude about it.

For people who aren't from a Marketing Background or understand the concept of Goods and Services, they don't realize that people are always selling themselves on some level.

However, imagine what would happen if all the product manufactureres would bad talk people who don't buy their products.

Imagine the Emotional Trauma if Candy Bars could talk back to you and criticize your actions. It result in Avoidance Behavior of deciding on any Candy Bars altogether so as not to offend the Candy Bar Community.
