As we all know, Kids will ALWAYS try to get out of trouble and ride on Technicalities or the Benefit of the Doubt. When your Child is trying to SELL you on an Idea, your Child is TECHNICALLY trying to "have Sex" with you and IMPREGNATE or SEED a thought or idea in your head.

As anyone knows, having Sex with someone UNDERAGE is child molestation or sexual abuse.

So when your kids (or future kids) try to give you a scintillating or brilliant answer trying to get out of trouble appealing to your compassion, you have the AUTHORITY to shut them down and still punish them.

Kids will always cry foul an say, "That's not FAIR." In Life, nothing's fair:

1. When a Hurricane touches down in the Bible Belt, do you run to God complaining about the weather and say, "That's NOT FAIR."
   
2. When you get an overdraft on your bank statement, do you cry to the bank and say, "That's not fair!" when they charge you $22.00. Did you read the Fine Print, or did you just agree to the Terms and Conditions without reading them?
   
3. Using the excuse, "Well, I didn't know" doesn't always work
   

For example, I've been warning people about things that happen. People can all cry foul and say:

Teacher Regrets Murder Essay Assignment
ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (May 15) - A high school teacher has apologized for asking students to write about who they would kill and how they would do it, and officials said he will likely keep his job.

Michael Maxwell, who teaches industrial technology at Central High School, said his request that students in his beginning drafting class describe how they would carry out a murder was merely a writing prompt. It was not clear why he asked the drafting class to write fiction.

"I made a horrible mistake that I regret," Maxwell said. "I want to apologize to my students, my colleagues and to the community."

The April 21 writing request, which Maxwell said was not a formal assignment, came to the attention of administrators when a parent of one of the students filed a complaint with Principal Barton Albright.

Albright expressed regret and apologized for Maxwell's "lapse of judgment."

"He's an exemplary person ... this is very out of character," the principal said.

St. Joseph School District spokesman Steve Huff declined to discuss possible disciplinary measures because the matter is considered a personnel issue. But he said the incident probably isn't serious enough to cost Maxwell his job.

About 25 to 30 students from ninth through 12th grades were in the class, Albright said.
