In the letter he wrote to my mom, he said it would clear up the debts and give him a $50,000 loan that would be sufficient for him to pay back.
Then he chickened out at the last minute claiming he didn't feel comfortable being held liable for that. That's after he lied and covered it up from January 2005 - March 2005 stringing me along making me think he'd given the money to Dave Summers while telling Dave Summers I never came up with the money.
If he was going to back out of it like that, then you return the money that you don't use. My mom gave it to him for the specific reason for that refi of the financing the condo, not for it to be spent elsewhere on other stuff.
Davis tried to cover it up and say it was a blessing in disguise and a good thing that he didn't do the refi with Dave because it wouldn't have allowed him to meet Drena Deniro and David Roma for a project. However, in June 2005 he ended up needing $8,000 to fly down to Florida where he borrowed another $4,000 AND pawned my car for $3,200.
He was so sure the deal in New York was going to close, but he fucked it up, and came back emptyhanded because he didn't secure the deal the way he should have. He reassured me before then that he would have my pawned car out of the Auto Pawn after a month. However, as usual, he fell through.

MONTEREY, Calif. (March 21) - A man's pantyhose led to his arrest, authorities said. An unshaven man wearing a black evening gown, fishnet stockings, calf-high boots and a black wig robbed a USA Gas station Monday morning, authorities alleged.
The armed man stuffed $290 in cash into an ensemble-matching black purse.
"I've been with the department for 22 years, and this is the first time I've heard of this happening anywhere here," police Lt. Phil Penko said.
About 35 minutes after the robbery, police Officer Chad Ventimiglia spotted a black Saab with fishnet pantyhose hanging from the front driver's side door, dragging on the ground, investigators said.
The car was pulled over and Michael Leslie Clouse, 26, was arrested and booked for investigation of armed robbery.
A plastic replica handgun allegedly was found inside his purse, Penko said.
