This is just a lesson in Life, what you learn about society, and how the only opinion that matters is your own.

I realize I am a beautiful person inside and out. Unfortunately I am the only person that believes that I am those things.

I've been spending the last year trying to prove that I didn't go nutty and that I did indeed observe Ps24th-Dec-2005 10:46 pm - Your Opinion is the Only One That Mattersychic Phenomenon proving that I am mentally sound.

However, people and some of my friends choose to believe otherwise. Today, I just finished compiling 6 months worth of evidence that casts reasonable doubt and reopens the case that foul play was involved.

Despite the fact that I want my Integrity and my good name restored, sometimes it's just comforting to know that -I- know I'm innocent of the charges that were laid out against me. Sometimes that should be enough.

If it isn't, you'll never be quite satisfied or happy and it will be a hollow victory even if you did prove to others what you think. I've been on the dark side of being seen in an unfair light and discriminated against like Hester Prynne with the "Scarlet Letter."

I've found that gaining the acceptance of others is really an illusion when it comes to determination of your self-worth. Before I was charged with being a "Psychotic Stalker," I was respectable and took pride in being a good person and where people looked up to me.

Then all it took was just the lies and the misinformation of two women to blow me out of the water and spread it to a group of women resulting in Hate Groups and Lynch Mobs on me. All those years worth of building up a good name for myself just got flushed down the toilet in days and your friends back away from you or are uncomfortable.

That's why the lesson you should learn from my misfortune is that the people whose acceptance you would like to have may not be worth as much as you think. Your own opinion of yourself should be what matters most because if you hinge it on what other people think of you, it can get yanked out from under you like a rug just like that.

At least with your own self-esteem and personal opinion, nobody can change your mind on how you see yourself except you.
