Esho hey boishakh....come and see the tears drop

Pohela boishakh is close at hand. Lets look back at the things that preceded this event, shall we? As the year of 2006 entered into the month of March, heat started soaring in Dhaka. The constant load-shedding ensured that none was left out of the paranoia that our tropical environment created around us (and I'm not talking about hula-girls).... there was motionless nights, constant overtime of the sweat glands, humid air as intense and excruciating as any whorehouse and so on. But, it seem all that "Jazz" was just the "Silence before the storm", literally. Just as I was getting tired of life (once again like every year) and my electrical sessionals, suddenly the sun seemed a bit blackened....THERE WERE CLOUDS IN THE SKY!!! FREAKING RAIN CLOUDS!!...then it rained...rained...rained like the sky was becoming oblivious of its leakage. In a matter of 2-3 hrs , the BUET campus (fear not, despite being one of the best Engg and Tech univs of south-east asia, BUET has some of the worst planned architectural/civil engg works in existence) and the street infront of our house was under a foot of water (thanks to the outstanding sewerage system of Dhaka, I'll post something about this soon) but what the heck..fine breeze and cool drafts were flowing all over the place. The scorch was gone, with that the buoyancy of people seemed to increase too. Anyway, here are some shots I took as the canopy above turned from a dazzling (!) yellow colour of a wavelength of 570 nm to a dark emission spectre (pardon me, its just that my recent chemistry class test has kinda scrambled my brains).

AAAHHHHHH!!!! It "Shivers me timbers" to think of that delightful afternoon.. I so wish I was able to drench in the rain like I used to do in my good ole campus of BAU and (this might sound a bit too fairytale like...but this really did happen) collect the semi-green delicacies that shed from the Mango trees during such a storm..or maybe take a plunge in the nurturing waters of Brahmaputra... But, heh those days are long gone... like tooth-decay.

Now lets take a look at some of my recent class test marks:
