This summer Greenpeace is putting congress in the Hot Seat!
We've teamed up with MoveOn.org to push congressional leaders to
pass legislation enforcing strong solutions to climate change in the
US. As part of a nationwide week of action for our Project Hot Seat,
Greenpeace San Francisco is hosting a welcome home party for Speaker
Pelosi as she returns to the city on congressional recess...
WHEN: Monday August 6th
11:30am- 1:30pm
WHERE: Outside of Speaker Pelosi's San Francisco Office
450 Golden Gate Ave
San Francisco, CA 94102
(on Golden Gate Ave between Polk and Larkin- close to
Civic Center BART)
*DEMAND SOLUTIONS FOR CLIMATE CHANGE!*
The Action will present Speaker Pelosi with the message that San
Francisco citizens appreciate her strong platform on climate change
solutions, and encourage her to push past political opponents and take
the next step towards stopping global warming. We'll be festively
adorned in party hats and hot seat T-shirts as we hand out cake and fill
giant present boxes with signed post cards to deliver to her office as
the culmination of the event. Come get rowdy for clean energy!
