I threw myself in the shoes of a mouse the other day on the 9th and went to the Pima Heart Association to have some tests ran. The pain in my chest has come again, and although it's significantly less painful than months ago, I'd still like to know what's going on. I also noticed my ribs stick out more on my left side and was curious if I have an enlarged heart.
I had an EKG test done, my blood pressure taken, which was actually pretty low for the first pumps. After that was done, I was led into a room, took my shirt off and I got hooked up again, was left into this office and was on a treadmill for a while. It started off as a walk, then sped up a grade and some speed every three minutes. All the while, Thomas, the MA was taking my blood pressure every two while the pads read my heart rate from all over my chest. The thing stepped up to limitation and I was running straight for about ten minutes. No pain in my chest during the exercise, the graphs came out normal. The blood pressure was fine.
Everyone was really excited that I could even last that long on the treadmill. But it isn't that special. Everyone else in the waiting room was an old fart.
Then I sat around after it, sweating, keeping myself hydrated and proceeded onto the next thing once my blood pressure returned to normal.
They did a sonogram dealy with my heart, put that gooey slippery goop on that camera stick and pressed it all over my chest. I watched as my heart pumped blood in and out of itself. Cathy, the woman who was doing this, was measuring the artery sizes and making sure inward blood flow and outward didn't collide.
That took about twenty minutes.
I was then left into a room waiting for confirmation from the doctor. He said that I shouldn't be worried, everything is pretty okay...although he did mention that I have a small leak...but he rationalized that curious thing by saying he has it too, and so do many other people. But something tells me he had said it for a reason. I could have every right to believe him, and I do, but I would like a second opinion. I signed some release forms for my mom to take my records to old old family friend doctor. He is wanting to see my results for himself, and I trust him enough to assess the information and make a proclamation about my situation. Appreciation.

I was alone again last night. Nathan had some plans with his ma and Storm was out partying. Chris went to the Fair with Colleen. I just took a shower, and then popped in "Skate". I played that thing till past three in the morning. If I don't cut this indulging video game habit, I will end up with tendinitis. I don't want that.
I heard what sounded like a gunshot in the neighbor's place or outside, I don't recall. But I turned out all the lights and crap and turned down the TV to hear anything else. I'm thinking it just might be Nathan's hamsters and rats banging on their cages in his room. He puts the cage against the wall so the vibrations are pretty loud when they exercise. Who knows.
When I finally decided to call it quits and turn everything off and wrap myself in the blanket, Storm arrived with his friend Megan at around 3:30 and she spent the...morning. I had to get up off of the couch and put some underwear on. I thought I was going to have the place all to myself. I don't think anyone wants to randomly snag a glimpse of my twigs and berries as I toss and turn on the couch. I hear that sort of thing gives people pleasant nightmares.
Megan is a really cool chick and I'm thinking them two are in like with each other. All three of us crashed out in the living room at five in the morning. Storm had to get up at seven to get ready for work. We all were up and about at eight. We seem to function very well with lack of our standby.

I cashed my check and my state tax return. I think I'll go out and buy a guitar.
That is all.
And remember kids, "a man chooses...a slave obeys."
