For those who dont't know T-Mobil is a cell communication provider.
It started on Sunday. Suren called me and said that she tried to merge our two phones into a family plan( we planned it) but T-Mobil didn't allow her to do that. She had been explained that it wasn’t possible because I wasn’t the account holder. Now lets go back in 2008, the year when I came here. I couldn’t open my own account at that time for some reason( was underage??) so Dima opened one on his name. 3 months ago we both went to T-mobil store located on Nostrand Ave and ave X in Brooklyn and asked to transfer the account to my name. We were assured by the t-Mobil representative that it was done, so we left and forgot about it. Now, after the call Suren made it turned out I wasnt the only account holder! Pissed off i called T-Mobil. They confirmed the information that was given to Suren: Dima's name was still on the account. I asked the representative to change this mistake and explained the situation. She told me that was impossible. After that I was offered a transfer to the Authorization center, which I gladly accepted. My happiness didn’t last long, representative from that center couldn’t help me. He offered me to open a new account to which he was going to transfer my name, because it was impossible to make me an old account holder without a permission of that other person (Dima). I really wanted it to be done so i allowed the rep to do this operation. While he was collecting information we were disconnected. Of course, no one called me back. It was late on Sunday, so I decided to try next day. Next day I called them angry as hell and yelled at the rep like crazy( Dima will confirm ;) ) Obviously that was the language they understood, my account was transferred on my name.(without going to the store or sending any papers via the e-mail) That rep was a nice guy by the way, he was the only one who actually gave me a call back when a call got disconnected. Anyways, when this formality was done I was transferred to the Authorization center. A girl picked up the phone. Me and Suren spent about a half an hour talking to that girl. She was reading us agreements and so on. She gave us a rough estimation of what we would have to pay to in order to have a family plan. (about 230 for 2 months.) We agreed to everything. I asked her to charge the card they have on my account. Girl kept putting me on hold and consulting with someone. She then confirmed that she was going to charge the card they have on file. Happy we thanked her and hanged up. Next day I went to work and I really needed to use gps for work. Guess what?! There wasn’t internet connection on my phone!! I called t-mobil, yelled even crazier. I asked the first rep to transfer me straight to the supervisor. He promised to do so and put me on hold for 20 minutes! Call was disconnected. Nobody called back. Then I decided to try my luck with a regular representative. I asked him WTF happened and got the answer that there is NO information on my account about my request of internet service and messaging. What the fuck? On Monday I clearly stated that I needed unlimited internet and unlimited messages. The t-mobil rep from the authorization center clearly confirmed it. On Tuesday it turned out that I only had 750 minutes requested. I asked the rep to do smt about the mistake. I was answered that he couldn’t do it without the IMEI number on the back of my phone.( I have to take my battery out in order to get that number.) Then we went with him through everything I went through with a girl from authorization. I confirmed that I need this and that. He told me that in order to process my request he had to charge me two months in advance, which was fine with me. This time I was told the payment was 132,50. And this time a monthly payment was $90something. I was surprised, but ok, whatever. Then I asked him to charge the card they have on file. I was told they couldn't do it because they did't see the whole number, but only last 4 digits!!!!!!! That card is set for the easy-pay, so they can only charge it 3 days prior the end of my billing cycle. ????????? I gave him another card, which I thought didn’t have enough funds on it. Card was declined. As soon as got home I checked my bank balace - I was charged, twice!!!!1 I called T_MObil. Asked to transfer me to the rep and not to put me on a freaking hold. Supervisor was busy. She called me back in a while. I told her the story. I only got an apology when I finally said WTF! That was a very weak apology that sounded like “Whatever. You r not the first you r not the last”. She told me that I would have to pay 132.50, but a monthly payment would be 109+tax+fees. Is there any chance that two people from t-mobil would tell me the same thing?? I was also told that I don’t need the IMEi number to activate my internet servise… I gave them another card number. Card was declined(i couldn't understand the reason). Supervisor promised to provide me with the internet connection, but I needed to do my payment tomorrow. I called the bank institution. WTF???? It was my credit card and by some mistake I paid more that I was supposed to. I exceeded my limit but all the way around. I paid them back more than a actually borrowed. The rep from the bank told me to call back tomorrow because he didn't know what to say and I had to talk to someone from the card service center. Wtf???????????????????
I spent 3 terrible days waiting on hold, talking to the bunch of an inadequate people. This is just a little part of the story, the most important moments of it. There were conversation with many other reps, many more minutes of hold and it was getting more and more ridiculous with every single minute.
Now I’m just curios would anyone be able to read this??))) And as always I would really appreciate any corrections and advises on my English.
Meanwhile, I have to go and study..it’s a midterm week. Not a very successful one.
