With surprising alacrity, an agent has already responded to Kapoor. If it takes three days for a letter to reach New York, then Kapoor's query arrived on Friday the 23rd, and the reply (dated Tuesday the 27th) was sent almost immediately.
The letter invites Kapoor to send a partial manuscript, so Kapoor is sending the first three chapters. While a pleasing development, this is merely the first hurdle. Kapoor has gotten this far with this particular agency (JABberwocky, who represent Brandon Sanderson, Charlaine Harris, and others) three times in the past. Clearing the second hurdle - an invitation to send the full manuscript - would be somewhat exciting. Kapoor probably won't get that far, but he can hope.
