(no subject)
My lease is up in a week. I hadnt made any real plans about where i was going to move ut i have narrowed it down to two choices. My decision will be made tomorrow.
The best choice is if Cory comes through with his friend that has the fully furnished house. I havent seen it but i will still take it site unseen. I have been asking him and he has been talking to the owner but hasnt gotten anything definitive. I am hoping he will have something tomorrow. The only downside to getting this place is the distance from work. i estimate it will be over an hour for the commute as it is on the exact opposite side of the city from where i work, and also from the airport.
Choice two is not too bad either. I mentioned this week to a coworker that my lease is up and he suggested that we get a place together. he is a turkish guy that grew up in germany and moved here for school before he started working. he doesnt drink but doesnt mind if others do, and doesnt eat pork for his religion (muslum i presume). I would save money by splitting bills and the rent would be a bit cheaper. the apartment complex is a lot nicer than what i am currently in..not so many people from new orleans. it is also closer to work and i wouldnt have to take the toll road to work so i would save money that way to. i would then have the opportunity to make more friends as well b/c there is alot of people from work that live there and i think he talks to a bunch of the girls from work, more than i currently do at least. the downside is i will not live by myself anymore which is sometimes really nice. the friends thing is not such a big deal as it was maybe a couple of months ago. i have made a lot of friends at work, which are different than the ones that this guy hangs out with. i have also joined a couple of groups online who meet once in a while so its good to see fresh faces once in a while. i am also on a basketball league at work.
this weekend is the company picnic. its at an old oil ranch outside of the city. it starts at 10 and has unlimited beer and snacks and then a barbeque around 4. i am looking forward to it.
