Here's one sans the frills of the other. . .
It is premature, but I will allow anyone that feels it necessary to call me breakfast supervisor of Holiday Inn. It's not official yet, but it should be as soon as things simmer down. Last weekend we had a big Corona volleyball tournament (free Corona crap :) ) and a youth Regatta (400 kids, 5 servers, not pretty). I was excited, but now I'm wondering if it's just an excuse to slash my hours in a major way. So, I might just get a second job because I just don't have it in me to fight for hours anymore.
Last week I volunteered at Naples Equestrian Challenge. That was so rewarding. I initially just volunteered because I wanted to be around horses again. That is a fun perk. But, you only have to go once to realize the real reason your there, and that's for the kids. These kids are all at varying levels of ability. But, they just love riding the horses. I admire the instructors so much. They have to have such patience to keep repeating their instructions over and over again. It's just a really cool thing to be a part of.
I've been doing a lot of editing lately. I'm currently at a stand still until I figure out what my next move is. But, I just love editing. There's something so mathematical about it. I love piecing everything together. I love solving the problems. And I love watching the finished product come together. This project probably won't be posted anywhere, it'll only be available upon request because it's a bit silly.
Oh, and if anyone has any suggestions for good walking music, that'd be appreciated. This movie is going to need a lot of music to hold it all together, I'm realizing. And, I just don't have the resources.
Hurricane Wilma is looking for Fred along the Florida Gulf Coast. She's expected sometime late in the day Saturday. The path shows the eye coming straight towards us. But, a lot can happen before then. I'm just not sure what to do when she hits. I want to go further inland or North to Georgia, but my parents, my sister, Lonnie and Dave are all going to ride it out on the island. Shannon's going to a hotel in Fort Myers, but I can't bring Pepper there, and I'm not going anywhere without her. The problem, though, is that if this storm is as bad as Charley there's a good chance noone will be allowed back on the island for several days. That's why noone wants to leave. But, the thing noone is thinking about is that noone is going to be allowed off the island either. I guess in extreme cases like if you need to go to the hospital, but then I'm assuming you won't be allowed back on. But, that means your stuck in a house with no power, a generator (which can only be hooked up to a few things at a time or it'll burn up) and only food that can be prepared with no power. It's not like Publix is going to be open for a little snack. Refrigerated food may go bad. But, I don't want to be in a small hotel room by myself with Pepper for 8 days with no power or food either. So, I just don't know. . .
But, for those of you who may possibly be concerned I will update on the hurricane's status as long as I can.
After this movie that I'm currently working on I'm going to start on this super sweet movie. I can't wait to start that one, but I can't leave my first project unfinished.
I also found this awesome page through msn with Halloween contact lenses, although I'm sure they offer them all year. Some of them would be awesome for a movie.
I need to go to the doctor. I haven't been there in over a year. My body is falling apart on me!
