First thing's first. Second to last call for French Independence Day. July 14, 2005. Menu will be posted later. Everyone should come out. Bring a friend, bring some food, bring a smile, just don't bring alcohol unless you want to get booted. (Beach rules, not mine). Even if we haven't invited you personally you're invited. Michigan's been really fun so far. It's nice doing something with someone every single day. Even if it is just Lindsay, or just sitting around at Nick's house with Lindsay and Nick. Sure beats sitting at home in Florida with a book and a tv.
Thursday we went to Lansing, and Gabe and I saw Adrenachrome, Shortie, and Adema. Adrenachrome was alright. Most of those guys are Gabe's buddies. Shortie was decent except that they started to sound the same after a while. And they were all super pretty in an emo kind of way. Adema kinda sucked. But, the guitar player was freakishly tall. I got to hear some of Sedated Monkey's new stuff. I liked it. Everyone should check it out on myspace (even though I don't think the new stuff is up yet, but it will be).
Monday night we saw Gavin DeGraw and Howie Day. We met Michael Tolcher a la Marjie. That was unexpected. Then we met Gavin DeGraw briefly backstage. I reminded him that I gave him a flag last year. He seemed impressed.
I'll post pictures next week. Those are just the highlights thus far.
Tomorrow we're going to Canada. That will be awesome. It's going to be a kick ass renaissance experience. I'm excited.
