I fear that no matter where you go, you'll find many of the same feelings apply.

Humanity is intristically broken, stubborn, selfish, and destructive.

If you give it a chance, though, sometimes it suprises you and the undeniable beauty underneath it all becomes apparent.

Funny how the more chances I give it the more dissapointed I become.

I doubt it, honestly. As much as people like to think otherwise, we eventually disappoint the people we care about, if not hurt them outright.

I like to think otherwise, but let's face it - I'm the same way. So is Josh. Hoskins. Chris. Marilee. Pastor Brian. Shuie. Heather. Your parents. My parents. You. Insert name of normally extremely dependable/good/whatever person here.

It happens at varying degrees, but it's just an unfortunate part of humanity and it's brokenness.

And, like I said before, I honestly think you'll find that kind of brokenness wherever you go. New York. Timbuktu. Scotland. Wherever.

Human beings have the capacity to be selfish, egotistical, decadent creatures. But they also have the capacity for just the opposite, and I think it's a bit more apparent than some people give it credit for.

Well. The main reason I want to move is I really am starting to hate the cold and the winter to such a point that it drives me nearly batshit insane, but at the same time I dunno. Just something about a new setting is appealing. Maybe it's because I moved all my life. I dunno.

But I -am- sick of the craptacular people around here.

I can definitely get behind that to a point. I mean, I'm not too fond of the cold either ( ... )
