Rocky roundtable #1

I have a few things I wanted to bring up in this post...

1) This just popped into my head recently - is there any sort of fan-designated Rocky Day at Kennywood?  If not, that may be worth considering.  Obviously, it would probably have to be an out-of-character affair for the most part (having a RHPS screening in a pavilion may not be appreciated by all train passengers), but it might be interesting if put together well.  I mean hey, they already have Juggalo Day, and we're not as nuts as they are.  (Don't worry, in case someone was going to accuse me of player-hation, I too am down with the clown.)

2) I wanted the thoughts of both the cast and the general public on this...  In terms of attracting more attention to the jccppgh YouTube channel, which seems to be rather overlooked at the moment, perhaps the key is to make it more original and unique by adding material outside of the usual show footage.  Homemade, Rocky-themed comedy videos, for example.  I have a few funny ideas in that area that I wouldn't mind committing to video.  Anything could be up for inclusion really, even if you were a Pittsburgher who just wanted to spiel about why you think Rocky is awesome.  I dunno, I suppose that's up to the cast to decide on; my duties on jccppgh don't extend that far.

3) Just a little note about something that could be a ways into the future; I may be getting my hands on an alternate cut of "Rocky Horror" that sounds to be *very* interesting... but I'll refrain from giving away any more details until I'm more certain.

4) I can't stress this enough - if you're on a forum, newsgroup, whatever about RHPS showings, and the JCCP's shows are not mentioned, please be sure to post something about them.  I already started doing so on a heavily-visited shadowcast group on Facebook, and I'll try to keep up with others as well.  I'd love the cast to perform for a sold-out audience some time soon, especially after these past few tame Winter months, and I'm sure others would also love to see that.

Well, that's all I have...

See you 'round like a record...
