Quite a Week
I think everyone already knows this, but for the sake of posterity...
I had a really big week last week. I started my new job at the UGA Disability Resource Center on Tuesday, then took my last final at Athens Tech that night. I am currently ecstatic about both. My new job is great so far. Of course, I'm still learning about the actual work, but I think I'm going to really like it. I can say for certain that it's the best working environment I've ever had in terms of nice people that I feel like I fit in with to some degree. After the stress in that area that I've been under in the recent past, it's a breath of fresh air. I think I'm still absorbing the fact that I'm done with school. I've been pretty busy with other stuff lately, so I haven't quite realized that my life is suddenly less complicated. I'm sure it will sink in over the next few weeks when I don't have to spend all day Saturday on class work.
To complement the major events, I also got to attend a lovely Labor Day cookout with friends I haven't seen enough of lately, my best friend's little girl's christening, and a relaxed brunch to meet a friend's nice new other.
So, it was a great week.
