Just a general update:
School is going ok. I have had no motivation at all about it, but there is only about a week and a half left in the quarter, and I'm on track to squeeze out an A. I'm soooo looking forward to having next quarter off.
I've started taking swimming lessons. They have private lessons for adults at the gym, so I signed up and had my first lesson Saturday. I went this morning before work to practice my drills, and it kicked my ass. The lifeguard was looking at me like she really didn't want to have to save someone from drowning in 4.5 feet of water at 6:15 a.m. I'd rather go in the afternoon, but the shallow pool closes too early for me to go after work. I feel good about doing this though, and hopefully it won't take me too long to get to the point where I feel comfortable in the "grown-up" pool. Then I can go in the afternoon.
The biggest chaos is at work. We have a position open, a "situation" with everyone getting reclassified, and our annual influx of millions of tons of work due to the end of the fiscal year. Plus, with me being in a semi-supervisory position, much more of it falls on me. For example, this morining I was to let the people in our section know that we're starting flex time. So, I had a meeting, talked to our manager, worked out a schedule, talked to my supervisor, found out I did it all wrong, and had to go tell everyone else that. The correct procedure is much less to the liking of everyone else, so now, I feel like a moron, am the bearer of bad news, and have been running around half the morning for nothing.

work
