Wow, I just had the gayest experience ever: Grocery shopping at 6:30pm at Whole Foods in Dupont Circle.  If you ever feel like there are no gay people left, just go to that Whole Foods.  Seriously

So, my capitol hill blog hasn't really gotten more play than this one...but that one's for family and acquaintances as well as friends, while this one is for my own age friends anyway.
But if you're ever bored, here's the link again: sophieonthehill.livejournal.com

Also, I made a new website, which you can check out if you're really bored.  And is still under construction.

So, I finally went to a gay club last week.  I went to a ladies' happy hour and met some people who took me to club chaos, which was having a ladies night.  I saw a guy there wearing a green t-shirt with cute little lettering that said "no one knows i'm a lesbian" with a little rainbow heart.  a gay guy wearing that, it was so cute!  On our walking to the club, some girls popped out the moonroof of an SUV at a crosswalk and said, "Hey Lesbians!"  It was hilarious, cuz they were gay too.

The club was okay, but so smoky I could have smoked 4 cigs myself.  It was cool, lots of good looking people, pretty much all older than me.  I don't know, I realized that the thing that makes those places fun is connecting with your friends while you're there, not really the place itself.

Unlike an amusement park, which I think would be pretty fun even by myself.  Luckily...after about 2 years sans a single rollercoaster, I might be going to Paramount's Kings Island in Cincinnati, OH when I go there to visit for my mom's parents' 50th wedding anniversary.

I'm also planning to travel to NYC once and Boston once this summer!

By the way, I'm a legislative intern for a senator, and I work two full days and one afternoon per week, unpaid.  I also got hired at the sketchiest ice cream store ever, and an actually cool restaurant, Open City.  Yay: I may finally fulfill a lifelong dream of waiting tables!!

Also, the weather has actually been great here, and not too hot+humid.  Just humid nights, which I like.  I hope you peeps in Cambridge survived the cool/rainy weather okay.
Since I'm talking about weather, I must have nothing else to say...so later
