phone woes, cont'd

I spoke too soon, as the phone woes continue. Sometimes incoming calls get through, and sometimes they don't. I can't even count how many technicians have been to the house over the past few days, how many supervisors we have spoken to. "This is really strange," one of them remarked today, when within the space of an hour sometimes they got the line to work and other times couldn't. No kidding. But they will keep on trying. My daughter asked how much all of these service calls are costing. "Nothing," I replied. "They are *obligated* to give us working phone service!"

In happier news, thanks to the talented trekchic, I now have a Pike icon! She will be receiving fic for her efforts, oh yes, she will.
