Fic: Crossing the Line
Title: Crossing the Line
Rating: PG 13 (R/NC17 in a few chapters)

Summary: Gillian and Cal finally cross the line and see where the other side takes them.

"Cal?"
"Yeah love?"
"You've got the carseats?"
"Yes."
"And the stroller?"
"Yeah."
"And you packed the bags for us to bring on the plane right?"
"Yes." Cal puts his hands on Gillian's hips and kisses her neck.
"I've got everything taken care of. You just finish getting them and you ready." Gillian nods and finishes dressing Lily before picking her up and handing her to Cal.
"Buckle her up?" Cal nods and walks into the living room of their suite as Gillian picks a fussy Jake up. She gives him his pacifier before changing his diaper and clothes. She picks him up off of the bed and kisses his head softly before taking him out to the living room where his father and sister were already waiting. Gillian buckles Jake up and rubs her head before going back into the bedroom and putting the twins dirty clothes into the suitcase before heading back out, pulling the bag behind her.
"We have everything right?" Cal nods.
"Yes, you ready?"
"I think so." Cal nods and holds his hand out to Gillian when he gets up. He pushes the stroller as they go downstairs. Cal lets Gillian load the twins into the car as he puts their bags in the trunk. He lays the stroller on top and shuts the trunk before getting in the drivers side and starting to drive.
"How long is the flight?"
"Ten hours from here to New York, and an hour from New York to home…just a small layover." Gillian nods and closes her eyes. Cal pulls up in front of their terminal and unpacks the trunk. He hands their keys to the car rental return before helping Gillian push everything inside. He checks their luggage in and gets a tag for the stroller before pushing it as they head towards security. Gillian turns around to look at Cal as they stand in line.
"And what about Emily?"
"We're going to stop by work and pick her up, so we don't have to double back." Gillian nods and looks at the twins who were fast asleep.
"They're so quiet."
"They're plotting the end of the world." Gillian rolls her eyes as she looks back up at Cal.
"Shut up." Cal winks before starting to unpack their things into security bins. Gillian pushes the twins through the detector and starts to put everything back together as Cal walks through, getting stopped a couple times before they pulled him aside. Gillian gives Cal a look from the other side of the glass as they start to search him. Cal shrugs as he looks back at her, grinning as the security officer holds up his cell phone after patting down his jacket arm.
"Oops, knew I was forgetting something thanks mate." Cal takes his phone and walks out meeting Gillian.
"You're mean."
"I am not." Cal smiles and kisses Gillian before calling the head of the airport.
"I'm making us money." Cal laughs and immediately gets in line with Gillian as their plane boards.
"You need anything before we leave? This line seems a bit long."
"I'm fine." Gillian smiles and kisses Cal before handing over her ticket 10 minutes later.

Gillian yawns and runs a hand through her hair as she puts the twins in the car, sitting in the back with them as Lily starts to wake up.
"Hi pretty girl." Lily yawns and looks at her mother, staring intently. Cal gets in.
"Do we need anything before we go pick up Em?"
"No, I don't think so, we'll go to the store tomorrow." Gillian leans back in her seat as Cal starts to drive, watching Lily as she looks back at her, occasionally making a face. Cal parks in his usual spot at the Lightman Group before looking back at Gillian.
"You coming in, love?" Gillian nods and gets out, handing Jake to Cal before taking Lily for herself, following Cal into the building.
"You know they're going to bombard us the second we walk in."
"Might as well get it over with now." Gillian smiles as she gets in the elevator. She shifts Lily a bit before kissing her chocolate colored hair that matched her sister's color. The new parents look up as the door opens before stepping out, business coming to a stop quite quickly in the office.
"Oi! Get back to work…I'm not paying ya to stand around and stare." Everyone jumps and goes back to work quickly as Loker and Torres come over to their bosses.
"Welcome back."
"Emily's in your office, bouncing off the walls." Gillian nods and heads towards Cal's office. Loker makes a face as he looks at Jake.
"He's not that cute." Cal rolls his eyes before following Gillian.
