10 bus rides, 20 lecture classes, and 4 PE classes later I finished my first week at PSU.
It went as well as is could go. I have the same professor for two classes (Marriage & Intimacy, and Minorities) and I really like him so it makes for two fun classes. My Globalization class is being taught by a Grad student rather then a professor, I'm not to sure how I feel about this yet but from what I hear it's not at all uncommon. I'm taking the class because it is required so I really don't care to much. My last class is Sociological Inquiry which is really not that exciting of a class. However, the professor is very entertaining so it makes the class fun enough.
The thing that makes me the happiest is that (OH MY!) we actually discuss subjects like Gay marriage and drug use! Woohoo! It's such a refreshing atmosphere compared to UoP where they hardly ever talk about anything controversial.
The bus rides surprisingly are pretty relaxing and allow me time to just zone off and space out. The walks to and from the bus to PSU are fairly nice too. I'll absolutely LOVE them when it's not raining out. Oh and I walk past Saint Mary's Academy every day from school and I noticed that out front they have these climbing rose bushes! I can hardly wait for spring when they will have beautiful roses on them and I can literally "stop and smell the roses" on my way to the bus stop =) Passing Saint Mary's also makes me smile when I think about Kat.
4 hours of work to go and then it is officially my weekend!
Oh I almost forgot... Happy Birthday Danika!
