So the other day in the GP paper i saw that My fith grade teacher has a band and theat they were having a CD record release show sor their second record.. they are called ROSETTA PEBBLE thay are kinda folk poppy ..kinda cat stephens meets pete townsend ( i hate pete townsend townsend though) anyway I called maria and asked her to go with me..
Steve Gulian ( my fifth grade teacher) was a great friend and inspiration to me.. i was having a rough time (even then) in my life and he was just a wonderful person. and he played guitar.and so i did I, and every friday if i got my work done i was aloud to bring in my electric guitar and amp and we would have little jam sessions for the class and wrote this song called ( the homework blues) haha..those were good days.
anyway I have always had a HUUUUGE place in my heart for this guy..i havn't seen him in about 9 years unitl tonight..after the show i walked up and he IMEDIATLY recognized me and was like "KEVIN!" I thought I was going to have to remind him of who i was.. i was really touched . He said i was his favorite student ever. and that i was the best guitarist of that age he has ever known of.. I really appreciated it..anyway we swapped stories and information and he is going to get in touch with me the next time they are going to record.
I was really touched.
