Brief Update

Jul 01, 2008 20:34

So, updates have been brief lately, and for that I apologize. No internet at the new apartment yet and I won't see any paychecks until August, so money's going to be tight until my student loan arrives sometime in the next few weeks. I think I'm going to have to learn to function without constant connections to the hive mind... I guess I'll catch up on my reading. I've also borrowed AC4 from my brother, so I guess I'll finally catch up on that too.

I've been meaning to send out a few emails to people, but I've been busy and haven't, so Ali, I'll get around to it. Like I said, I haven't had time to sit hunched over the computer like I'm known to do.

I've started playing my bass frequently again, and I'm enjoying it more than I enjoy playing my guitar because I'm already good at bass. I even took it to Peanut's family reunion (pics to come for those who care) last weekend and I covered Weezer with her brothers and her mom. You'll see what I mean when you guys see the pictures, but Peanut's mom is kind of hot. And so am I, except I'd been drinking so much beer (I took factor before I got completely trashed, FYI) that my belly was bigger than it normally is and you can see the top horn of my bass digging into my paunch... but I'm probably being a little too self conscious.

By the way, I hope those of you who received drunk dials enjoyed them. I remember nothing, but I can see from my call history that I placed a few calls.

So at this reunion, Peanut's great aunt and uncle (I think I got the relations right, there were at least fifty people there) let me plink around on their ukuleles. Now I'm hell bent on learning the fucking ukulele.

My kitty is awesome, and he plays really well with Hershey. It's very cute.

I still don't know about Gencon (Gen Con, GenCon, whatever), because it's the week of the 4th of July and the administrative offices are all closed. You'll be the first to know.

So anyway, I forgot my camera so I can't upload pictures today, but lots of fun pictures are coming.

And I've done this so rarely of late that it's threatening to lose its status as tradition, but here you go...
