Fume. Fume. Fume.

In fact, she didn't walk down the hall. She glided there on the strength of her fume. Like those horror movies where the demon chick is coming down the hall towards you and the gait is all freaky but you can't figure out why until the camera pans down and you realize she's floating three inches off the floor? YES. LIKE THAT.

"CHUCK BASS, YOU BETTER OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!"

Chuck almost dropped the Wii controller from the force of the fuming coming through the door.

Could he pretend he wasn't here? Was that an option?

"...I'm going to be honest here, Francine. I don't want to open the door when you're yelling like that."

Well, you can't pretend to not be there now, dumbass.

"IT HAS HINGES AND I KNOW WHERE I CAN GET A SCREWDRIVER!"

...And this would be one of the many differences between her and katchoo, who would have just kicked it down. And also not offered Chuck the warning.

Chuck sighed. Fine. He walked over to the door, unlocked it and put what he thought was a charming smile before opening the door.

"Is there something wrong, Francine?"

Francine stabbed her finger vaguely upwards towards the 4th floor. "I just came from Merlin's room!"

Oh god, that was hilarious. No, really. Emmett totally owed him for this.

"Oh?" he asked, the picture of innocence. "Is everything okay between you two?"

She stared at him. "Is everything okay? How can you even ask that?"

"I'm sure I have no idea what you're talking about," he said.

"You. YOU!" And now the stabby was at him. "You.... Chucking liar! You do too know!"

Was Blair teaching people Bass-talk? Was there a course being offered and he didn't know about it?

"Hey, hey, watch with the finger," Chuck said, backing slowly away. "Are you talking about the little chat I had with Merlin yesterday? I was just helping him!"

"Helping him?" Those eyebrows were going to shoot off the top of her head if they didn't get lost in her hair first.

"Emmett said he needed it!" Chuck said. Yes, yes, blame the giant guy.

"Emmett? EMMETT?" And then. Well. Bet Chuck didn't know Francine knew those words, is all we're saying here. "And you listened to him?"

Chuck was rendered speechless by that little display of profanity.

"...wow."

That was kind of hot.

She learned from the best.

"Emmett told you Merlin needed to see something called THE ORIFICE, and you LISTENED to him?"

That was not your hallway and open door voice, Francie.

"He's huge! And not in the Sam Winchester 'Oh hi, I'm a giant doofus' huge. Huge in like the 'I can kill you in a thumb wrestling match' kind of huge," Chuck argued. "...and, for the record, The Orifice has great production value. I could have picked a way worse movie."
