314 - Late Saturday Morning

Chuck had not turned into a child. Even if he had, there wouldn't be too much of a difference in the way he acted. Chuck had hated kids even when he was one. Can you really imagine him playing hide n' seek and playing in dirt? No, didn't think so. It would have messed up his wee Armani suits ( Read more... )

Dinah was still waiting for Edward, but she'd bounced a balloon out into the hallway, and when she'd turned back, she'd seen the almost-open door. Time to investigate.

She puuuuushed the door open with one finger, then peered into the room. She wasn't really supposed to do that, but the door had been a little open, so... Hmm. Sleeping Chuck. She padded over to examine him. Still sleeping. She stared for a minute. And stared. And stared.

His nose was funny.

Chuck was at the point where he was close to getting up but not quite there but he was conscious enough to notice someone was there. He cracked open his eye to see...a kid. Staring at him.

Huh. That was weird, even for here.

"Can I help you?" he mumbled.

"Do you got any peanut butter?" Dinah asked, the first thing that came into her head. "I could put some on cookies." She blinked at him solemnly. "I was looking up your nose when you were asleep."

Oh god, it was too early for this crap. Chuck sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes and wondered when it got to the point where he wasn't shocked by strange people coming into his room.

"No, I don't have any peanut butter. I'm not into that sort of thing," he said first, still rubbing sleep out of his eyes. He turned his head and inspected Dinah. "Do you always walk into people's rooms and stare at them when they're sleeping?"

Amber was running through the hallways - oooh! Cracked door!

She peeked through the crack and pushed just slightly.

"HI!"

Jesus, it was another one.

Chuck stared at the kid for a moment before flopping back against the bed and putting a pillow over his head. "Hi."

Someone kill him now.

"Chuck hihihi! Do ya have cartoons? Can you make me pancakes?" Amber skipped in and over towards his bed, leaning against it. She stared then poked his pillow.

"Sleepy head! It's cartoon mornin'!"

"So I've heard," Chuck said, pulling the pillow off of his head. "And who are you? And why are you such a spaz?"

Oh, very nice, Chuck.

Angela was on a treasure hunt. Leaving Hannibal to the sword fighting part, she was on a more diplomatic mission, and searching for people she knew rather than pirates.

And who might know where to get treasure? Chuck!

"Chuuuuuck!" she said, poking her head around that cracked door.

Chuck groaned. It was another one. He should have just locked his door. At least he was wide awake now.

"Yeeeeeeeees?" he said. He could draw out words too, you know.

"Chuck!" she repeated, all but bouncing over to him. If he wasn't careful, he'd be getting hugged by three feet of over-excitable six year old. She was ever so slightly less aware of personal space at this age. "Hi."

Chuck did his best to keep his distance but even he couldn't dodge over-excitable six year old. He immediately tensed up, put his hands up in the air and, god, he hated hugging.

"Hi," he said, looking down at her. "And you are?"
