I found this in someones journal. I decided to fill it out.
1. Where were you when you heard about the attacks on the Pentagon and WTC?
I was in my 3rd period class in school (U.S. History class..believe it or not), my history teacher turned on the TV and we saw a live broadcast of the giant hole that was in the tower that the first plane hit. Our whole class including me thought "oh my god, what a horrible accident" But a few minutes later, we saw the second plane hit. Thats when everyone started to panic. Then in 4th period, i was in english class when we heard that the pentagon was hit, and thats when everyone went crazy and started screaming or just was just staring at the TV in disbelief.
2. What country/group did you suspect immediately?
I didnt really think much about that, altough most of my friends kept saying that "it was an Iraqui"
3. Who were you with? How did you react?
I was with my classmates, along with some of my friends. We were really panicky. During Art class 5th period (a little after all the planes were ordered to go back to the airports and etc) me and my friend Melissa thought we heard a plane and we went ballistic and were about to hide under the table.
4. Who did you call first?
After coming home from school I wanted to call my relatives that live in NYC to see if they were okay.
5. What did you do the rest of the day?
I spaced out often, I was worried about my relatives in NYC, and during the night of September 11th, I couldnt go to sleep because I thought something else would happen.
6. Did you have any friends or family killed in the attacks?
No.
7. Do you think 9-11 should be a holiday?
I think it should be a memorial holiday.
8. Do you think even a % of the money donated really made it to the families?
Im really not sure.
9. Did you feel an increased sense of patriotism? Did it last?
Yes.
10. Have you flown since the attacks? How soon did you fly again?
I havent been on a plane since i was 4 years old!
11. Have you been to Ground Zero?
No but I drove by it with my family when we went to NYC in July 2002.
12. At what point did it really sink in?
During the week, I guess. I dont remember. In a way, it never really sank in.
