Scott, Shae & I went to dinner with David & Tanya. We had a great time, as always. David and Tanya drove all the way out here and we ate, played Wii and had drinks and just enjoyed each others company. We always have such a good time when we hang out. Plus, they like seeing Shae ;o) OOOH and Dave and Tantan gave us a french press for our coffee YUMMY!!! It makes coffee that tastes JUST like the coffee bar they took us to last month. It's called Octane. If you ever go, get an ebony or ivory espresso Martini. It's made with Ghirardelli chocolate YUM!
So, Shae is officially teething. She is cutting her 2 bottom teeth. It's so cute, she rubs her tongue on the area and won't let you see. She's not fussy though. She's her normal happy baby self! She's rolled over from her back to stomach and vise versa, but won't do it anymore. Its almost as if she learns something new and once she's done it, she's good....
Shae got a Rainforest Jumperoo that matches her Rainforest Swing from Santa(GG & Grandaddy, my parents) for Christmas and absolutely LOVES it!! It rewards her for jumping and moving around by playing music and lighting up. She really gets going when she sees us watching her too. GREAT investment for parents!!!
I just have to brag a minute on my hubby. He's so stinkin' thoughtful. He made Christmas and our time off together AMAZING!! AND he's very helpful with Shae. God truly blessed me with a helpmate, not just a soulmate. Where I lack *organization and time management* he excells! And where he lacks *patience and positive thinking* I excell.
Scott and I watched an autopsy documentary yesterday. A large overweight woman was on there to find out why 3 of her 4 children died as infants. Turns out the first baby was SIDS the twin boys however, were a different story. First off, she slept with her babies. The night her twins died she was intoxicated. She had the babysitter feed the boys and put them in bed with her. She woke up in the morning and they weren't breathing. Apparently she rolled over on them in her intoxicated sleep and sufficated them accidentally. COULD YOU IMAGINE?!? So, this is why cribs were created in the 1800s... Scott and I now check on Shae while she sleeps. And though she used to nap with us in the morning for about an hour, she no longer will.
Well, I'm off to get my nails did. I am going to wear Black and Silver on New Years Eve. We have about 6 people coming to the heezee to chillax. I'm super excited ;o)
