"chinese finger trap. arms tied behind your back"
So the last few weeks have been a bit intense.
I put over 1000 miles on my car if that helps the intesnsity.
First up was me going all my my lonesome to see Less Than Jake in St. Pete. I met up with all my FBR friends and it was such a fun night... oh orange vodka was not nice to me. haha. After I got back to Orlando Next it was time for me to head south... all the way to Miami to visit my friend Amy. I went to high school with her and i hadn't seen her since I had been home in January. It was a fun night of trying to get on guest lists at clubs in south beach. ahaha. Alfredo!!! haha. (Sidenote- i went to miami ink.. yes hte one from tv... to get a tattoo but their studio fee was $200!!!! what?? that was out of control... so needless to say there is not miami ink tattoo on my body.) I had to get back for class the next day and.. after class I decided it would be a grand idea if Meghan and I went to see our friends in Silverstein in Gainesville. That was a good night filled with lots of fun and starting and finishing White Castle was an adventure. haha. The next day it was time to head to Daytona... last night of bike week.. how could you resist? Meghan and I just met up with a bunch of friends down there and we ended our night at a baskin robbins on Atlantic Avenue. haha. It was fun... but we opted to exit the madness for one night.
Later that week... I dragged Karamea along with me to inroduce her to my favorite boys in Red Lipstick Letter in Clearwater... that was hilarious. The show was @ this skatepark. And ohh that night the drunkeness was amazing in every way. George... he was the best host a band could ask for... and he's now moving to Missouri... where are we going ot go now?? haha. Next up was... Cocoa Beach! A bunch of people from class had all thought to go hang out at the beach for an afternoon... So Jeremy Ryan and Myself hopped in the car and went to Cocoa hoping to get some sun... well apparently weather men lie. it was pretty chilly and cloudy the whole day. no good. but it was stll loads of fun and we just enjoyed the fine dining of cocoa and looking at the ocean vs. swimming in it. haha.
That next week... Andrea and I decided to go see Circa Survive, Moneen, and Saves The Day in Tampa. Moneen was AWESOME. I have missed them terribly. And this was my first time @ the state theatre... totally cool venue. If you get the chance to see a show there its super fun. Well...A day or so later... Karamea and I decided to make a return to the State Theatre in Tampa to see our friends in Head Automatica. That was quite a successful trip. haha. it was filled with Organic wine... tour buses... and knitters, wiggers, and painters. hahaha. I successfully slept through my technical writing final because of Head Automatica too. Thanks....
Then the final adventure was Karamea and I meeting up with the Head boys again in Jacksonville. It was such an awesome show @ Jack Rabbits. I had wanted to go see Armor there late last year and I couldn't make that show... so it was cool to finally visit this venue too. It was WAY smaller than I expected. But that show was a little intense.. too many kids getting into lame ass fights... I didn't understand but it all worked out in the end. After that show we all sat around and talked for hours it was awesome having about 10 people in the venue. Very cool hang out spot... and the people @ jack rabbits couldnt have been nicer. There was lots of fullsail and andy milonakis talk. haha.
Those 2 weeks were packed full of fun.. and I'm glad to say that I've successfully been in Orlando for 4 whole days in a row... haha.
On this weeks agenda: PROM! yeah thats right.. i said it. Mia (my roomate) and I are the two luckest ladies in Orlando. haha. We're going with some friends of hers she works with. And we have a strech hummer.... dinner reservations... hot dresses.... makeup appointments... and an after party hotel. Saturday ought to be a good night. I had my mom send down all my old prom dresses... that was a fun challenge to try those bad boys on... And its safe to say I need to workout and go on a water diet to fit into them by Saturday. haha. But I think it will all work out.
I bet you're wondering what happened about that exam I slept through.... yeah. My AMAZING kiss-ass skills got me out of it.. and I made it up yesterday. It was open book and it was for my technical writing class... so nothing too challenging... however I have to say... I took it in our office @ school... and there was some guy talking the ENTIRE time I was trying to take it and I couldn't stop thinking about how much he sounded like Ben Stein... Weird much? haha.
Well aside from Ben Stein... my life has just been filled with shows and school. Valeyra set out to NC today for there 2 month tour.. and I'm SO excited to see them @ tremont in a few weeks... its going ot be out of control! And Red Lipstick Letter have been in Austin the last week playing all sorts of shows.. and I know they've been having a blast... however they've been frequenting one too many malls. haha. But I can't wait til I get to see both of those bands... and it will be soon.. thank god!

Ok well thats my plug for bands this entry. haha. umm Ive got a few pictures I can post... but damn its been a while since I've done that! So wish me luck.. haha... but other than all this...
I've had a lot of free time this week to start getting excited about spring break in two weeks. I can't wait to get out of FL for a while. I really just can't take it. I'm so tired of school I could throw up.. but I'm so close to being done... THREE MONTHS BABY. That I think I can pull through. And theres really nothing terribly exciting going on in my life. I'm nervous about not having enough $ to get me through August so when I get back from spring break I'm going to have to get a job.. and Im not really looking forward to that. But I've done some hardcore networking over the last few months.... and I'm hoping it will really pay off over the next few months. I'm not really sure where the whole tampa situation stands... but I dont know if I wil go there or Los Angeles... the more days that pass.. the more LA is calling my name. I've found a lot of really cool opportunities out there... and my mom leaves in 4 weeks to be permanently out there. And so there are a lot of factors that would have to fall into place to let me end up in Tampa.
Well ok.. I'm in the middle of class... and thats all I really can talk about right now... I will update you on my future location as it comes about.. haha. but i'm totally havinG fun right now. And I'm just happy to see such good shows coming through Florida... its about damn time. And my entire focus is to make $ and be happpy doing it. I;ve met amazing people... and I think I might be really starting to get somewhere...
But everyone better hold onto the seat of their pants for April... it will be OUT OF CONTROL... and I can't wait!
Oh ps- i got a copy of the new taking back sunday that comes out APRIL 25TH. And it is just amazing in everyway... and I'm telling you all right now you will be happy you bought it...
