Those were the words that changed my experience last night at the U2 concert, from wonderful, to absolutely fucking incredibly blissful.
So if you don't already know, on U2's current tour, if you have a floor ticket, certain ones are coded or they have some super secret way of making it so that only a certain number of those floor tickets scan and allow you inside the ellipse. The ticket I handed over to the person at St. Pete Times Forum last night, was one of those tickets and thus the words "You're a Winner" proceeded to make me flip out and dieh and all that good stuff.
I was going to write this big long detailed post about the show today, but I've decided that there really isn't anything I could say to make anyone truly understand the bliss I was in last night. Fate does exist and God does truly love me a lot. I was thisclose to U2. I was thisclose to Gavin Rossdale who can still make my 16 year old heart pitter patter. I could see every inch of sweat on the band's face. They sounded amazing....not that I expected them to sound anything less than that. To say I had a great time is an understatement. My ticket stub and 2 wristbands will be framed.
