Yay!!!! Finally I'm 19!!!
I had a fantastic two birthdays (yes I am a greedy pig :p). My first birthday was my real one and I celebrated this with a weekend at home. I went with my family for a picnic in Bicton Park (near Exeter - and yes as we passed the sign for Exeter I did shout 'hi Nat; but I'm quite sure I wasn't heard but it's the thought that counts). Unfortunatly despite remaining sunny everywhere else (Nailsea, Swansea, Durham...) it rained and I enjoyed a picnic under an umbrella but all was good because I had the most amazing pirate birthday cake ever (the userpic)!! Then we returned home and went to Posh Spice for some yummy yummy Indian.
My second birthday was yesterday and celebrated here in Swansea. We pulled ourselves out of bed early and hopped on the bus 100 to the Bridgend Designer Outlet (it's not actually in Bridgend so we were not in fact endangering our lives!!) and did some shopping but not before stopping for breakfast in Costa. Then we headed back to Swansea and I went to Brownies where they were making birhday cards by sticking as many random shiny things as possible on flimsy card. Then from Brownies I went to Maddy's and got ready for my party.
We started off with a meal in the all you can eat Chinese buffet, China China. We had lots of nice chinese food and ice cream factory stuff. James even went to 'funky town' (don't ask it appears to be a James thing :p). Then after eating our fill in food (James having eaten his own body weight) we headed off to Que Pasa to wash it all down with some alcoholic beverages and were pleased to dscover that the buy on get one free cocktails are now being offered on a Wednesday as well as a Thursday!! So after much dancing (yes our very cool dance moves including the sswigs routines to 'Reach', 'I don't feel like dancing' and 'Tragedy' and our revival fo the popular move 'big fish, little fish, cardboard box!!) , cocktails (Sex on the beach, Cosmopolitan, Screaming Orgasm, Pina Colada to name a few) and laughter we headed off to the new Oceana (we were perhaps just a little bit scared of the professional pole dancers that had randomly turned up in Que Pasa). On seeing the que we soon changed our minds - my party was the same night as the uni Summer ball and as it is primarily an outdoors event (with fairground rides) most people had headed into town early to avoid the rain (which meant they had wasted £50 on a ball that they only went to for about half an hour). So we decided to stick to our ever faithful friend Jumping Jaks where we danced and drunk some more.
Now I'm off to play with my new toys. I think a game of inflatable darts whilst watching Grey's Anatomy!!
